What are the guide lines if you would like to make dog bones and sell them? Do you have to put ingredients on the label, nutrition analysis and so forth? Can you make them at home or do you need a special building for it? If you don't know do you know somebody that could help?

You can start your research from the Dog Food Regulations page on this website. Three organizations are involved in pet food safety. On that page you'll find a brief outline of their role and direct you to their website so you can contact them with detailed questions.

FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) (CVM's website)

Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO's website)

There is no requirement that pet food products have premarket approval by FDA. The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act does require that pet foods, like human foods, be pure and wholesome, contain no harmful or deleterious substances, and be truthfully labeled.
